This is a fantastic opportunity to join an expanding and energetic Property company, based in Manchester City Centre. We own a £100 million commercial property portfolio in the North West of England, and our priority is both the letting of our vacant units and retention of existing tenants. We have a proactive and highly experienced team of property professionals who make it their business to understand the property market inside-out.

We are now considering recruiting a Chartered Surveyor to join our busy team. Working for the Estates Director and the Sales Director, you will be dealing primarily with Landlord & Tenant work but also assisting with the day to day management of the property portfolio.

The areas in which the Surveyor will provide support for include:

• Negotiating lease renewals and rent reviews;
• Viewings of offices and industrial units and including negotiation of letting deals;
• Dealing with day to day management and maintenance of commercial properties;
• Property inspections;
• Service charge management and reconciliation;
• Overseeing specific rating appeals;

The successful candidate will be MRICS qualified with 1 to 2 years post qualification experience. The role requires a team player who is well organized with an ability to prioritize, has the ability to work under pressure yet has good attention to detail. A professional approach along with excellent communication skills will be necessary since the role will involve dealings with customers, staff at all levels, directors and customers.

It’s been a while since we last updated you on the progress at 61 Mosley Street so here are some photos of how the refurbishment is progressing.

The first floor, which features seven smaller offices sized from 170 sqft up to 759 sqft, has had lots of work done to it since Christmas. Here’s a shot showing what the main corridor looked like before on the left) and what it looks like now (right):

As you can see, everything has been given a new coat of paint, the lighting has been re-done and new radiators have been installed and new ceiling tiles fitted.

These will be larger office between 1,740 sqft and 2,630 sqft. Like the first floor, a lot of work has been done, with some change to the layout made alongside the new lighting, radiators and paint.

Again, a lot has changed, to the layout and the décor, and it should look very impressive when it’s finished.

The building will be welcoming its first tenants in March, so keep an eye out for further updates in the near future.

Hurstwood will shortly have additional property available to let at three sites in the North West.

Unit 26 at New Hall Hey Business Park in Haslingden will be available to rent from May. The unit measures 660 sq ft and also benefits from three phase electricity and an electrically powered full-height roller shutter door. Rent will be £4,200 per annum.

Hurstwood’s popular Edwin Foden Business Centre in Sandbach has gained another new tenant. Instep UK has taken suite 9 and 10 at the property.

The combined suite measures 2,000 sq ft and is part of the recently completed phase 3 refurbishment of the building.

Instep UK Ltd has over 20 years’ experience in providing training courses and materials to help businesses get the most from their employees.

Company director Peter Hitchen said: “Instep were looking for offices in the Sandbach and surrounding area that could provide an open plan office layout in a modern and spacious surrounding – the Edwin Foden Business Centre offers just this. Nearby access to both the M6 motorway and the rail network also makes it an easy place to travel to and from.”

Edwin Foden Business Centre is located on Moss Lane in Sandbach, Cheshire and is just a short drive away from Crewe and the M6 motorway.

The building itself offers open plan office suites in a range of sizes set in landscaped grounds with views of the countryside. Hurstwood has recently completed the final stage of the buildings renovation.

Catering Equipment Solutions Ltd has become the latest tenant to sign up with Hurstwood at Agecroft Enterprise Park in Salford.

The company have agreed to lease the 750 sq ft unit 9 at the site.

Units at Agecroft remain highly sought after with this one only remaining available for a matter of days before being let.

Catering Equipment Solutions Ltd specialise in the supply, installation and maintenance of catering and foodservice equipment. They are based in the North of England and have over 20 years’ worth of experience in their field.

Company director Nick Jackson said: “We think that this will be the ideal premises for us as we look to expand our business.”

Agecroft Enterprise Park is located just four miles from Manchester City Centre and is also within a short drive of junctions 14 and 16 of the M60.

The site features 23 modern industrial units each with sectional loading doors to the front and separate pedestrian entrances. It also features ample parking space and CCTV.

This month we have news of letting at Ribble House in Bamber Bridge, New Hall Hey Business Park and Station House in Rawtenstall and Europa House at Lune Business Park in Lancaster.

Automotive industry leaders Faurecia Emission Control Technologies have signed a deal with Hurstwood to lease a 5,400 sq ft office suite at Ribble House in Bamber Bridge, Lancashire.

The company have agreed a lease on unit 1b at the property, leaving only the 8,900 sq ft suite 3 remaining available.

Faurecia Emission Control Technologies are part of international automotive parts manufacturer Faurecia and are the world’s largest supplier of exhaust systems. One-in-five cars globally are fitted with one of the company’s products.
